The 1.9 is slightly more economical, the 2.0 is quicker revving, smoother, faster, quieter. The 1.9 only has a 5 speed box though. The 2.0 doesn't pull quite as well from low revs (the 1.9 is like a tank) but is less peaky. Å koda Roomster. Skoda Roomster (2006-2015) Roomster 1.9 TDI 2007 Fast idle problem. Hi, Just noticed that my Wifes Roomster even when warm, on start up the engine is idling at around 1300 rpm. As soon as I blip the throttle it goes down to under 1000rpm. Turn the engine on again and it is back to 1300rpm on idle.
